What Makes a Building Green?
A green building, also known as a sustainable building, is a structure that is designed, built, renovated, operated, in an efficient way and efficiently uses resources like energy, water, and materials while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment - the complete building life cycle. A Green Building is NOT an Energy Star building, a building with better windows, or a home with Green Flooring. All of these are posible solutions for a Green building, but a Green product does not make a whole building green.
